SHOSTA is the intersection of darkness and danceability – somewhere between darkwave, bodypop, and synthpop. Founded in the first lockdown of 2020 by Peter "SHOSTA" Grimm, the project took shape in isolation, but its sound is pushing its way out into clubs and onto stages.

 

With their debut album, Hölle der Vögel (2022), SHOSTA established a soundscape that is both emotional and driving: pulsating synths, cutting beats, and haunting vocals. Since the end of 2022, Moritz Fris (drums) has brought a raw, organic energy to the project – the perfect complement to the electronic foundation.

Musically, SHOSTA bridges the gap between Depeche Mode, And One, and Deutsch-Amerikanische Freundschaft (DAF). The result is a sound that goes straight to the heart and gets your feet moving: dark, intense, and full of energy.
